Awesome weekend!
Sunday, September 11, 2011 / 11:28 PM Had an awesome weekend with baby, even though it was short. It was enjoyable, although I was not happy baby didn't study at all and his exam is on Thursday. Good luck baby hope you do well and not leave out any questions. We went for walkies at Orchard Road, started from Mandarin Gallery. So should have listened to baby and bring my Nex-5 out. After we strolled out in the humidity to S*CAPE, wanted to check out the flea stalls. Was so crap didn't find anything nice, what a waste of time, was packed and stuffy. I'm just surprised baby was just following me around. Thanks baby ((: Then we went down to Cine's basement to 'Best Fries Ever' had the Ole Ole Fries! Yum I love the sauce I want more of it. There were sample sauces to try, didn't really try all after ordering. The garlic one was not bad but I think Ole Ole is the best. If you don't know what is Ole Ole, it is their Salsa sauce. Apparently there was some I think channel 8 stars outside Cineleisure, well i'm just guessing, but there were heaps of small kids screaming their lungs outside. Was damn curious to see who they were but it was so packed, plus baby and I hate crowds. So ended up not seeing who they were. With our delicious fries in hand we made our way up Orchard Road, although baby was saying we should walk down Orchard Road not up. But we walked up to Takashimaya, ended up in the basement (food section). I had my durian pancake from Four Seasons and baby had this fried chicken with lots of chili sauce from this korean stall. We came across this round layer cake from Japan. I saw it in Hokkaido in Feb when I was there on holiday. Looks yummy but not sure on the taste as I've never eaten it before. I do want to try it though and see what the fuss is all about. I miss Obolo's macaroons so getting more this coming Thursday, after my dental appointment. Wanna get some for baby but I think it might be sweet for him. As it is the chocolate I made for him, he hasn't even finished them yet. Walked to ION in search of a drink (Each A Cup), but it had a long queue! Then baby suggested to go to Toa Payoh to buy KOI!! Seriously I cannot not drink KOI's Green Milk Tea as it is super yums. After that off to home! Such a fun day with baby but then it was dam hazy because of Indonesia's fire. Labels: weekend |
