moving
Tuesday, October 4, 2016 / 1:56 AM

It's been such a long time since I've written something.

Been busy with our house, with the decor and the moving of our things. Still need to buy some shelving for our house.

There's no official date to our final move yet.

Hopefully everything will fall into place before we go on our honeymoon and my big 30 birthday trip this November! *Fingers crossed*

nervousness
Wednesday, January 6, 2016 / 2:38 AM

I should be looking forward to Saturday! But I'm not.. why? Because I have a phobia of standing on stage with so many people staring at me!

Although I've written my vows and my thank you speech. I feel that something is still missing from it. Been trying to keep it short and sweet but seems like I'm writing essays.

Super nervous~ But deep down inside I'm super excited! Finally after 5 years, our big day is on our anniversary which is in 3 days! I need to remember to breathe.

wedding day approaching
Thursday, December 3, 2015 / 3:37 PM

Excitement • Stress • Nervous

I haven't been blogging recently as I've been really busy with my wedding preparations.

Recently came back from South Korea, as we took our pre-wedding photographs in Seoul with our bridal company. 5D3N package is what we bought and we extended our trip as both of us have not been to Seoul before. It was awesome, really like it there. Will definitely head back there again when we have learnt a bit of Korean.

I'm already missing the Bibimbap, the Gelato Rose ice cream, Street Food at Myeong-dong and many others.

Instead of booking a hotel when we were there, the fiancé and I booked 2 AirBnB places (: One of them is 2-hrs outside of Seoul, as I wanted to go to Everland. The other was at Myeong-dong, it was a 10min walk to the shopping areas.

During our trip we also helped Airfrov members to buy Starbuck tumblers, we only managed to get 2 outside of Seoul as we have checked everywhere and they were OOS. Managed to get myself a mint tumbler as well yay! I saw an article just now on the Starbucks tumblers in Korea, the designs that we purchased are OOS island-wide and they have released a new set of tumblers equally cute!

I have like a month to go before our wedding, but I have not settled everything yet.

  • Wedding Album (Settling this Fri)
  • Instaprint Design (Once I get my hands on my wedding photos I will be able to do up the template)
  • Childhood Montage (Still in the midst of finding photos)
  • Emcee Script
  • Schedule for the day itself
  • Table placements
  • Waiting for Groomsmen & Bridesmaids gifts to arrive
  • Need to contact the Solemniser 3 days before the wedding
  • & more

It's so stressful already but yet people who you've invited to the dinner a few months ago and have agreed to come suddenly tells you they're unable to come or they do not even let you know whether or not they're coming. Come on! It's not that hard to tell me if you're not coming. Just tell me directly and stop beating around the bush it doesn't help me and it will not help you.

Ok rant over! Although I'm looking forward to that day, I'm also nervous for that day! Yikes >_<

Finding a JP
Thursday, June 4, 2015 / 10:01 AM

No one told me that finding a Justice of Peace (JP) or Solemniser was omgee HARD. I started off as finding reviews of JPs on the singaporebrides.com forum and then went to search for others.

The ROM page only said that we would need to email the respective JPs 3 - 4 months before the wedding (and not earlier). If only I didn't follow the 3 - 4 months rule I would have started earlier and not start only now, maybe then I might be able to get the JP I wanted.

So here's my advise to those who are getting hitched/ looking for a JP, just email them and see what they say. If not you will not be able to get the JP you want. I'm already on my 10th!

Here's my list of JPs, it's still growing.

    Email: tzebeng@gmail.com
*Updated* - Mr Lim Tze Beng will be solemnising us at our wedding next year. I emailed him on Friday morning and he got back to us on Friday evening. He congratulated us and asked me to call him. I called him when I was with baby and he sounded friendly. He requested for our personal and wedding details and he was going through the procedure of what to do for ROM and that we will be meeting him a month before prior to the wedding. Meet up so that he can sign our form and he will give us his licence number so that we can file for our marriage at the ROM website. Yay! finally found a  JP such a sigh of relief, call me crazy or whatever you like as I have found our JP 7 months before our wedding.

exercise
Tuesday, January 27, 2015 / 12:01 PM

Baby and I had our long awaited gym session. We've been away from the gym too long. I wanted to hop on to the threadmill but Baby insisted that I cycle while he does the cross trainer. I died after 5 mins of cycling to no where~ So I changed to the threadmill and walked on it for 30 mins.

Wanted to go do my arms but he wanted to exercise together (: so we ended up on the rowing machine, even though I didn't feel like rowing yesterday, but did it anyways. We set our machines to 2000m and started rowing. 2000m is no joke! I died somewhere in between the first 1000m. But Baby kept encouraging me, told me not to stop and  he kept saying "row towards the chicken wing, chicken wing, chicken wing" as we had decided somewhere during our rowing that we will eat at 4 Fingers.

Was so funny! Kept laughing and told him to shoosh as I couldn't concentrate on making my arms "numb".

Looking forward to our Wednesday session at the gym.

Hopefully Baby can go see Monster after gym session.

theo ♥ clara - the proposal
Wednesday, January 21, 2015 / 12:08 AM

On 10 Jan 2015, my best friend proposed to me!

and I said YES!!

He's not a romantic person, but he's so sweet~

The meaning of 9 roses : An eternal love

Recce-ing the proposal place without me knowing. I think he went to check out the place 2 times and it was raining.

What I thought was a picnic turned out to be our engagement (: I love you baby!

Some of the many photos you secretly stole from my phone!

He had helped from his sisters and friends, all the late nights, planning on making it perfect! He secretly took my phone one weekend morning and went through my photos. Secretly sending our photos to himself.

He got 2 of my best friends of 17 years with one of my close colleague to come surprise me! I was really touched.

The people who planned and witness our happy moment! Thank you for being there (:

I will never forget this wonderful memory! Sorry that I didn't cry.. I wanted to it was coming out.. but I was also shocked.. cause I wasn't expecting it. (:

Crafted by his sister (: Check out the huge diamond on the wall!

saying byebye to 2014 and hello to 2015!
Thursday, January 1, 2015 / 11:22 PM

#throwbackwednesday #newyearseve #2014

Had half a day of work, then headed toward Orro at Orchard Getway to check out earring prices for Baby. Took the bus to Katong to have a quick bite (durians yum!) with parents, cousin, my aunty and uncle. They sent us back, took a quick nap, before heading to Kallang Wave for dinner. Baby met us there. After which couldn't send my parents off as there was no space in the car! So said byebye at home also messaged them Happy New Year and have a safe flight home, will see them in March when Baby and I go back for Eza's wedding! Decided last min that I would stay at Baby's house.. Packed and off to our friend's house at Yishun for Countdown. She couldn't go out as she was sick and her hubby was working so she invited us over to her house. After the Countdown from her curved TV, we walked her back to her in-laws place a few blocks away.

------------

#newyearsday #2015

We spent our New Year at home (baby's house), the only time we went out was to da bao lunch at this really nice Chicken Rice place opposite his house. Wasted the day away playing my new 3DS XL Pikachu Limited Edition that Baby got for me for Christmas. Alternating between 3 games which I had brought over - Bravely Default, Cooking Mama 5 and Drawn to Life.

Hope this year will be an awesome one with Baby and my family. Hope work won't be as stressful and give me more white hairs (don't need anymore). It's going to be a busy year!

Looking forward to next Friday, 9/1/2015, our 4th year Anniversary!

I like NIVEA Happy Shave that unlike the rest of the deodorants I have tried through out my life, this I can say that it's very comforting.
