some people..
Thursday, May 30, 2013 / 12:37 PM
Some people just need to shut up and do their jobs instead of making comments about other people. Your not my boss and why should I listen to you. Please see how long you've been in this company before you comment like i'm stupid and I need to learn.
Is just so sickening just listening to your comments and how you try to suck up. You make me sick!

the process

I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream..
Well lately have been trying to find ice cream workshops to go, checking out how much a portable ice cream maker would cost (portable for homes) so that would be our first step to making our dream shop come true.
Well found some workshops - Here are some:
Both workshops have different ways in making ice cream and different flavours to boot.
Wouldn't mind investing in their workshops just to have a feel of the different styles to make. Well that would be a start. Will be dragging Baby with me (: Baby if you're reading this be prepared!
June's schedule for Tom's Palette (opp Ah Loy's Thai at Shaw Towers) is not out yet, so can't plan which one to go for. So exciting!
Udder's workshop is coming soon in July but have to call the outlet at Novena to see if there are any slots left. That's the only outlet at the moment that will be holding public workshops for individuals.
I should think for both workshops they wouldn't be using an ice cream machine.
But I still have my eye on Kenwood's Ice Cream Maker from Courts, it cost about S$108.
Kenwood Ice Cream Maker (1.5L) IM280
You don't need electricity for this as it has a fast freezing, double insulated 1.5L freezer bowl. Cool right, well I think it's cool and you can make ice cream in 15-30mins.
Here's how to assemble the maker.

Also found another thing online that I thought will be awesome to make.
Ice cream sandwiches with cookies..
Shapes: Heart, Circle, Star
It cost S$22.90 from thehomeshoppe.. I will get it soon, once I learn how to make delicious ice cream.

smoulder
Wednesday, May 22, 2013 / 10:20 AM
I first found this shop on Facebook, it was one of those ads at the right hand side. It looked interesting so I clicked on it, then the more I was browsing Smoulder, it started to look super delicious. So told myself if i'd every pass or go to Raffles City Shopping Centre i'd go check it out. And so that's what I did yesterday before dinner as I had time to kill.
First went to withdraw some cash and yeah went on a hunting spree for it. It's located at the basement near Gong Cha and That CD Shop. So if you ever want to try it out it is down there.
White Chocolate Lemon, Chocolate Hazelnut, White Chocolate Raspberry
Flavours
Signature Dark Chocolate
Intense Dark Chocolate
Dark Chocolate Black Forest
White Chocolate Matcha
Milk Chocolate Rum & Raisin
Milk Chocolate Mocha
White Chocolate Raspberry
White Chocolate Pistachio
White Chocolate Lemon
* I would think Chocolate Hazelnut is a new flavour as I do not see it on the website.
I brought all 3 to work today, but then I had gotten out of the fridge this morning and had to use the microwave at the pantry at work to heat it up. As I didn't check the website and I had forgotten to ask the person serving me yesterday how long I have to heat it up for. I tried 30secs but I was wrong I think it was too long or something the softcore lava cakes had a funny cap. I would think that it is the filling oozing out from the top. Please follow the instructions below taken from the website.
If not your cakes will turn out looking like mine.

monday blues
Monday, May 20, 2013 / 10:36 AM
So last night I couldn't sleep until this morning 4am was tossing and turning around in bed. Why? well for one my brother declared at 3am that he was hungry and sil went to cook for him some noodles. Ok that was like OMG you want to eat at 3am. Become pui pui for all I care then he turns on the TV.. After which he started playing WC3 with the volume up. So imagine if you're trying to sleep for so long and all these sounds are trying to keep you from sleeping would you be able to sleep. Well I sure can't.. but eventually I did as I think I was super tired already.
So this morning when I had to wake up I couldn't and I only woke up around 7.45am (considered late). So today is Monday and it's a work day and I wonder how to get through the day, cause I don't drink coffee.. hmm what about Tea? Nah cannot be bothered. Let's see how things go today.. Baby super lucky he's not at work.. he's off to his review for his leg later.
Miss you baby! No eye candy today ):

our future home
/ 3:31 AM
So the other day, Baby and I took time off to go to our HDB appointment. Where we got to pick our future home, it was not exactly where we wanted but it is somewhere we can call home to in the future when it is fully built. Apparently heard from my colleague that our project has already started building. Oh so excited!
This is our floor plan..
Will take a better pic with my phone once I take back my folder from baby's house! accidentally left it there yesterday and forgot to place it back into my bag after.
They say it's 93sqm but It is around 90sqm. I wonder if we can seal of the opening to the kitchen as I find walking through the front door and finding yourself next to the kitchen can be quite unsightly. Maybe opening up the other side of the wall opposite the bedroom. Make a wet and dry kitchen, that would be nice.
Currently applying for grant, hopefully we'll be able to get additional grant for our house that would help us dearly. If we get at least $5,000 it would help to cover the cost of our flooring. Luckily we didn't add on the sanitary fittings as the sample pictures that were hanging on the customer service officer's side panel of the cubicle. So ugly I tell you, said no and baby agreed that it was not worth the price.
I just searched HDB's website and found a list of Home Renovation Contractors and on that list Icon Interior is listed on there too. If can't hack my wall and make a wet and dry kitchen, the kitchen should at least look like this, as the kitchen size looks about there.
There are other stuff I like on her blog that baby and I can consider getting for our future home but that would be for another time to tell.

it's not yours to say
/ 2:23 AM Really feel pek chek yesterday at my colleague's lunch wedding as I had found out that someone else has been telling our ex colleagues and others that Baby and I have gotten our place. It's not yours to tell so why are you doing it.. What for? Just to gossip.. Really hate it now we can't tell cause everyone knows about it. You've made 2 people feel this way today and you don't realise shame on you. Maybe doing something similar will make you realise that.. what goes around comes around and I confirm with you that you will not like it. Labels: feelings |
Penang 2013
Friday, May 17, 2013 / 4:29 PM 11 May 2013 - Saturday Didn't feel like waking up as I had only 2 hrs of sleep but had to wake up to catch our flight to Penang for Hui Chuin's wedding. 6.20am was when I actually woked up, 6.10am was when my alarm started ringing and in between all I was doing was snoozing. Showered, packed the remaining toiletries and waited for Baby to arrive at my house to pick me up in the cab that he was in and then it was off to Terminal 2. When we arrived the taxi driver dropped us so far away from the check in counter. I think he dropped us off at 3/4 when we were suppose to go to 11/12. After we had gotten our boarding passes and Baby had gone to the toilet.. We went to have McDonald's breakfast and had breakfast next to the table with SY (Groom's) friends. I had satisfied my hotcakes craving and I bought Baby his McGrittle but had gotten him a McGrittle Supreme (: After breakfast we headed into customs and went through the super fast way - scanning passport. Went to our Gate and had to take out my zip lock bag filled with my liquid items. Had a hard time deciding what to bring and what not to bring as you can only have not more than 1 litre in your zip lock bag and your bottles (each) need to be 100ml or less if not no you can't bring it on the flight as it's in your hand luggage. So I had to show that, remove my jacket and what not. Waited for a bit in the waiting area and Baby turns to me and say is that Hui Chuin's sister behind us wearing the yellow polo tee and glasses. Wasn't sure at first but turned out to be yes! She's a nice person and she was with her husband. Our journey to Penang was not bad not much of a turbulence on flight but we arrived 30 mins earlier than scheduled which I think wow that's quite good. So we waited for the bus to come pick us up to go sightseeing and makan around Penang before heading to Taiping. We went to try the Char Koay Teow, no chilli, fried with chicken egg and another one was the duck egg. Baby and I like the duck egg more.. But I found it much saltier than the chicken egg and we also got wu xiang and OMG! the chilli sauce is so yummy! After that we went in search of the Khoo Kongsi Clan house. The whole group of us were walking the streets trying to find it and on the way we were snapping photos as there were drawings and wire art on the wall. Makes the street look much more interesting. All that walking it turns out I had turned like 1 shade darker ): I felt super shiok after getting onto our bus as the aircon was blasting out cold air after walking in the hot sun! As we were still hot from the weather, we went to hunt down the famous Teochew Chendul stall at Penang St.We were following the GPS coordinates but that lead us to a dead end and as it was just across the road we decided to go get it on foot. But it was scary trying to cross the road, but it was not as bad as crossing in Bangkok that's for sure. We had to takeaway the Chendul as there was no seats for us and there were 8 of us! Next was some pier, kind of forgotten the name and then it was off to Chew Jetty. We stopped at a petrol kiosk, see who needed to use the rest room so the rest waited and after we walked just a short distance to the Chew Jetty. It was scary for me as I didn't like to walk on planks above water.. I have this fear that the flooring will cave in and I would fall into the water and drown. Oh the thought! and it was very windy that day but managed to grab some awesome photos. Our next destination took us a long time to get there, as the journey takes us an hour. Everyone was pretty much a sleep for the ride only occasionally we were woken up by the bumpy road. Felt like a forever roller coaster with no seat belt. I was basically using Baby as a pillow during our journey he was extremely comfy (: But the time I knew it we were already in Taiping, outside the Flemington Hotel where we will be staying at for the wedding banquet. We reached about 4ish - 5pm and the banquet was to start at 7.15pm. So during the 2 hours we were just resting in the room, ironing our outfits, watching some TV before heading for the showers to prepare. We were seated at table 12 and the wedding favours box was so pretty! Each box held a Ferror Rocher.. Hmmm chocolate! Dinner was not bad, the food was alright and the bride Hui Chuin. She was awesome, haven't seen her like forever well a few months but it felt like forever. After the dinner we took more photos and went up to turn in as we were so tired. Baby fell asleep as soon as his head touched the comfy pillow. He said it was too soft but I felt like it was just right. 12 May 2013 - Sunday Didn't want to wake up early as I was still tired from the long day before, but Baby got me up to eat breakfast anyways. Dragged myself out of bed, got ready and out the door to level G to have breakfast. Nothing fantastic was on spread, had a bit of their Nasi Lemak, Char Koay Teow, Samosa and some small amount of dessert/fruits. After we went up to check and pack everything before checking out. When we left Flemington hotel, we loaded out luggage on to the bus and headed for the lake on the opposite side of the road. Took some really nice pictures here and even made one of the scenery my Facebook cover. So it was off again to our next destination.. we needed to get back to Penang and so the driver said to take the ferry. One of those ferries that bring vehicles from one side to the other. Well we were on that kind of ferry and I was fearing that I would get my motion sickness. Baby kept reassuring me that I wouldn't but guess what I got a bit of it from the swaying. Sigh! Didn't eat my tablet.. Luckily I didn't throw up on the bus. When we reached to the other side, we made our way to the famous Assam Laksa. My picture does not look appetising unfortunately. Taste wise it was ok, would prefer the normal Laksa with coconut milk. Assam Laksa had so much vegetables in it that I had the noodles and the soup only, and that didn't make me full. So I spotted this biscuit shop opposite the road. It was scary to cross but like I said it's not as scary as crossing the streets in Bangkok. In Bangkok there's no pedestrian crossing at their traffic lights. It was more on cross at your own risk. So we got on to the other side of the road and into the biscuit shop, there were too many biscuits to choose from and the one that I wanted I can't remember the name of it but I remembered the taste. So I didn't end up buying any biscuits but I did buy the wheel snacks and my god it was so addictive. After we made our way back across, boarded the bus and made our way up the hill to this temple. Not really a temple person, plus majority I would say are Buddist on our bus. So just went there to take pictures on the view, flowers and statues. After the temple we went to Penang Hill, we had to buy the admission tickets to take this train/tram ride to the top. They have this thing about their admission prices for locals and foreigners. Three of us landed in the foreigner category, those who were local were so nice and wanted to split the ticket price in between them. Felt so paiseh. The weather and the scenery was like wow compared to when we were on the ground. Natural aircon blowing was a nice change to the hot weather below, that toast me a double shade darker! I have this ugly tan line now and it's to go away.. cause I hate it! Took some really nice photos up on Penang Hill. We stopped by this famous Tiger Head brand shop that sells really nice Tou Sha Bing and Heong Peah. Tried the Durian Tou Sha Bing and wanted to get it but when I had decided it was all sold out! Seriously sold out, they had more but we needed to wait for them as they had not baked it yet. We were told to come back in half and hours time. So those who had gotten what they wanted bought their stuff and we went to have some lunch nearby so that we can loop back to grab my stuff. I bought 2 boxes of 24 mixed 12 Durian and 12 Original in one box. Baby's one was a bit different from mine as he had Durian, Original and Pandan flavour in his box. After the collection it was off to the airport, I don't remember much of the journey as I might have been asleep. We were actually early for our check in as there was no one at the counter but the queue was long so we joined it. They had given us somewhere behind as to what was given to us when we flew to Penang. Baby was comfy and made our journey back home to Singapore the most comfortable one as ever. (: Love you Baby! *Pictures to be up soon when I'm not so lazy to upload them (: Labels: baby, Penang, Trip, wedding |
strange request
/ 1:18 AM On the way to the MRT, Baby requested something strange from me. He wants me to list out what are the things that will make me leave him. One would wonder why in suspicion.. So before reaching the MRT, cause he was walking me there before heading home. I listed TWO for him and those are..
He told me to go think about more.. er Ok! Need time to think about the rest. Told him he should do the same and he said I should do it instead sigh! How is this fair? Not fair you have to do it too I reckon! |
Worst experience ever
Saturday, May 11, 2013 / 8:57 AM Worst experience ever before boarding the stupid Tiger Airways plane. Was asked this stupid question by the person who was scanning my boarding pass. She said "Sorry. Can I ask you a question?" So I said "ok". After which she asked "Are you pregnant?" Told her "No" then she said "cause of my breast". Seriously do I look freaking pregnant to you!! My breast, what's wrong with my breast..Maybe it's the top that I was wearing.. But still =.= no comments. Really don't know what to say! Woke me up from my half sleepy state.. About to take off.. And then in 1 hr time. We're be in Penang. Taiping to be exact for Hui Chuin's wedding! Labels: Omg, tiger airways, wedding |
No manners
Saturday, May 4, 2013 / 11:33 PM Just had our little Korean BBQ Buffet gathering with Kai Hoe, Belinda and Jessie. You know after those BBQ Buffets you will stink so badly, well I was one, so took a shower at Bf's house. To my dismay my facial wash had nothing inside the tube but yet it was still in the toilet. It was a full tube the last time i used about 2-3 weeks ago. Seriously where are your manners. If you had used a little I wouldn't mind sharing. But come on it's rude to use the whole tube when it's not even yours. So wtf! I have to spend more and get another one! When I didn't have to.. Seriously not cool.. I don't have a facial wash now. Thanks alot! So irritated.. Labels: Facial Wash, Korean BBQ |
