Baby's gone diving this weekend with Pieter.. and I'm left at home to do whatever I want basically. Started watching something that I normally wouldn't think I would watch, but now i'm seriously hooked on it.

What is it? Haha.. It's Point of Entry. I think there's 4 seasons and I'm only on the first season.. So much catching up to do. Talking about catching up, will be doing some of it tomorrow when I meet my friends for some lunch, dessert, shopping and movie. Something I normally wouldn't do on the weekends, because it's spent on my dear bf (: I miss him already.

Sunday will be getting a facial, I haven't had one since last year I think. It's been too long, even I cannot remember. Will be doing a product review soon. Hint: Nivea!

I think this month will be a busy one! So much things to do so little time.

Oh can't wait for my birthday trip to BKK with Baby, Pieter and Ivy! Gonna be so much fun, I've already listed out on what I want to eat there. From the last trip, I would say the Samurai Pork Burger from McDonalds and Chatuchak Market's Coconut Ice cream has made a strong impression. I would also like to find the famous Pad Thai, didn't get to eat a nice one the last I was there.

I've checked out a few nice cafés there but I don't think our 3D2N would be enough to cover all the places I want to go.

#throwbackthursday went to have dinner at The Halia at Raffles Hotel with Baby for our 45th monthsary! Really like the place alot, nice ambience and the food was awesome.

I had the Halia Chili Crab and Baby had the Ribs with Chips (Chef's special, I think..) with shared a communal jug of ice tea which both of us couldn't finish and oh! the dessert Milk Chocolate Cloud.

They have 2 outlets, one at Botanical Gardens and the other at Raffles Hotel. Well to sum it up I will definitely head back there to eat again (:

44th Monthsary

Before work ended I went to make reservations at this place called Restaurant Labyrinth on Neil Road for our monthsary. How I got to know about this place? I was watching Clicknetwork.tv's Food Porn hosted by Irene Ang. It's a fine dining restaurant with unique dishes. Most of the items on the menu I would not normally eat, but I had tried it. So yea! I've tried it but I don't fancy them.

They have 2 different kinds of menu, Signature and Degustation. I thought Degustation looks interesting, so got Baby to order that. It's a 8 course menu - $138 (with service charge of 10%). The Signature menu is a smaller course.

Here are the dishes that were on our degustation menu (:

Pineapple Fried Rice

Pineapple Sorbet, Tumeric Zabaglione, Rice Crispy

Bacon and "Eggs"

Hokkaido Scallops, Sea Urchin, Prosciutto Crisp

(tried my first Uni, and my last, didn't really fancy the taste)

Labyrinth Chilli Crab

Chilli Crab Ice Cream, Soft Shell Crab, Sturgeon Caviar

Artisan Garden Pizza
Summer Truffles, Spinach Tomato Crust, Chantarelle Mushrooms
(to me this is the worst dish ever.. I felt like I was eating dried leaves, oh and the cheese is on the salty side. The chef said that this will be off the menu tomorrow.)

Cantonese Porridge Carbonara
Polenta Porridge, Parmesan Cream, Poached Egg Yolk

Satay Steak
Satay Marinated Steak, Pan Seared Foie Gras, Peanut Mochi
(this would be my first time trying Foie Gras as I cannot seem to stomach it, it's so fatty)

Chendol Xiao Long Bao
Molecular Chendol Soup Dumpling, Gula Melaka Syrup
(was suppose to put the whole thing in my mouth, it was difficult the spoon + dumpling was so big!)

Singapore Breakfast
Panna Cotta, Mango Puree, Teh Tarik Crème Brulee
("Soft-boiled eggs" are my favourite. Even has a similar texture to the actual eggs)

Abe's Diner

After work we headed down to 42 Eng Hoon Street, to have dinner. The place is called Abe's Diner, it's a Japanese/European fusion restaurant. We passed it the other day and said that we should try it.

Our initial plan was to go to Tosh Restaurant but we couldn't go as it was closed. So I went hunting for a restaurant and then remembered where the place was but couldn't remember the name.

Google is seriously your best friend in searching for anything. That's how I finally found the name and reviews for it. Told Baby about it and decided, that we should try it today.

When we entered the restaurant looks so cozy, unfortunately didn't want to seem like a crazy person I didn't take pictures of the restaurant.

Baby had the $38++ set, I had a la carte (Carbonara Japanese Udon) and we shared a Fried Chicken with Tartare Sauce! I think the set is really worth it, but I don't really eat the Chef's Choice Appetizer (3 different kinds) and the Chef's Choice Sashimi (2 different kinds).

Sadness with a tinge of happiness

Can you believe it no compassionate leave, had to use my un-recorded OIL and half a day of AL to attend for my uncle's funeral. Woke up early, but not for work. Reached Singapore Casket around 9am.. waited for the monk to start the chant at 9.30am, all the young generation joined to say goodbye during the chant to my uncle. Can't believe he's gone just saw him over the easter break in the hospital, he had asked his brother my other uncle who's a doctor. If he can take chemo and if he has chance. After which we followed the hearse to my uncle's house and then it was off to Mandai Crematorium.

When we were there I thought of Chan who is residing there but I don't remember what number she's at and I didn't have time to say "Hi!". Then off to the temple at Race Course Road. My uncle's tablet will be placed with my grandmother (Dad's mum). But his urn will be at Bishan. He's only 61. His obituary came out on last Sat, 6 Apr 2013 ):

After the temple, we went to have lunch at Apollo Banana Leaf near Race Course Road. Was ok but prefer Muthu's. Afterwhich I hopped into my Aunty's car as she lives in Braddell and I wanted to get my hair done as D&D is nearing very soon and I wouldn't have any time left to go do it.

Cut, Dye, Treatment in 2 hours for about $120 is cheap and good! I have a new look.. quite like it (:

In the morning, Baby beat me to saying "Happy Monthsary!" It's our 27 monthsary.. Love you baby ♥

Plain Vanilla

Baby really 疼爱我. We had our 26 monthsary on Sat. Spent it with XW at Victor's Kitchen and then went to the IT Fair. Baby finally bought his internal 1 TB hard disk while I finally bought my micro sd card for my toy camera.

Sunday baby went with me to Holland V to get some cupcakes from Plain Vanilla. My favourite place (:

Another monthsary has passed, Baby kinda forgot.

We didn't really celebrated, but I was with him for the whole day.

Another beautiful memory ♥

♥ Today is our 15 monthsary and baby didn't want to tell me where he was taking me for dinner. All I knew was it was in between Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar! I met baby after work at Vivo as he had left work early to go to his physio appointment. We caught the train to Chinatown and walked through to the other side, although it was short, I quite enjoyed it. Baby's hand was cold and mine was warm, hehe (: I was warming his hand at the same time stealing the coolness.

Walked through the roads that looked like maze, until baby found the restaurant. He brought me to the PS. Cafe, the ambiance is so nice I really like the restaurant interior decor. 1st floor the bar, 2nd & 3rd is the dinning area but 3rd I heard from baby is like the rooftop/attic (which they call it).

They gave us this card which we need for our seating and we were seated next to this couple. Although baby wished to be seated somewhere else which was not cramped next to someone else.

So we were deciding what to eat, but I was taking pictures of things that were on the table.

We ordered a Roasted Tomato & a Portobello Mushroom Soup, with Lulu's "Leftover" Lasagne [seriously does not sound right] & Chargrilled Cheese Burger.

While waiting for the food, I took a quick snap of baby busying himself on his iPhone..

We didn't wait long till our soups arrived.

Baby had the Portobello Mushroom Soup, he did not like it much.

while I had the Roasted Tomato Soup, if I could compare soups I would have rather drank the tomato soup from Saybons at Plaza Singapura.

After we finished Mains were served..

Lasagne for myself and Baby had the humongous Cheese Burger!

Unfortunately no dessert as baby was too full after his meal and I did not want to eat by myself.

To top the end of our meal we took a picture to place in our memory - our 15th Monthsary ♥

We were about to sleep this morning at 1am+ when baby said "Happy Monthsary!". I was surprised because I'm always the first to say I think lol~ I kinda forgot > < I know you're gonna read this I admit I forgot even though I said I didn't. Cause I felt bad ): Sorry!

Sad we couldn't do something today, because you had school. But no worries just seeing you at work makes me happy!

♥ 7 Monthsary @ Jurong Bird Park

Today is our ♥ 7 Monthsary & it is also Singapore's Birthday. Baby and I spent our monthsary at Jurong Bird Park.

It's baby's first time here!

We then walked over to the Toucan & Hornbill enclosures.

It was really crowded, so we didn't stick around after this photo.

We went to check out the same species but different types.

Great Pied Hornbill

- is one of the larger members of the Hornbill family.

Don't remember the name of this Hornbill.

How to tell the difference between the male and the female? Simple!

Male: Has a lighter brown head; Female: Black

Next we headed towards the Lory Loft

At the entrance to the Lory Loft; just after the café, we were greeted by 2 noisy Lories.

Unfortunately I didn't manage to capture the bridge as I was too scared to look down (afraid of heights). So I had to keep my camera as I needed both hands even though baby was behind me. Holding me, but he's evil! He made me look down..

We left Lory Loft to head to Birds of Prey, seriously was so glad to be out of there.

1) Noisy to the max

2) Irritating foreigners who block your way

3) Scared that if we look up we might not like what we see and aiming straight for us!

Fast fact: Young flamingos hatch with grey plumage, but adults range from light pink to bright red due to aqueous bacteria and beta carotene obtained from their food supply.

By this time, I was suppose to be hungry with baby. But unfortunately I snacked on a Chicken Pie at the African Waterfall Aviary. In the end only baby had lunch @ Bongo Burgers which was located outside. Before heading out we had to get our hand stamped so that we could re enter.

Baby said the burger has no taste and that you need to add the salsa sauce to it.

This was what we shared, a large Root beer Float!

After lunch, I spotted this large golden bird cage. Got baby to take a photo of me inside, after baby made me squeeze through the bars to get out.

After we took a cab to Toa Payoh Central, cause baby asked me if I wanted Koi! I cannot resist Koi, it's so yummy. After tried the Pao & Siew Mai from Tiong Bahru Bao, recommendation from baby. Took a bus back to baby's place. Silly me! Forgot to bring my ezylink card, ended up paying with coins.

Took a quick shower, rest and had yummy dinner made by baby's mum or was it dad. Not quite sure on that need to confirm again. Then watched 美樂加油 and facebook before cabbing home. I swear the uncle thought he was a F1 driver, I got home so fast! You know the bend when you're on PIE getting off to Sims Avenue, he was going a 110km/h in a 60 - 80km road. I thought I was going to fly.. Just glad to be home safe (:
