At around 3.30pm my colleagues and I left work for Bottle Tree Park at Khatib. As we have an SSRC Event there where we are grouped into our own groups to prawn as much prawns as possible. I have heard stories about prawning how you can sit there for hours and not catch anything. Well I would always say how is that possible but I know now that it is seriously possible. But I caught one on the first go and then everything went downhill from there. Here's my first and only catch with Jay who is helping me to unhook.


 Kept getting nibbles but couldn't hook any up after my one catch that my group member lost with the net that for some reason sank to the bottom of the pond with my prawn. For that one prawn I actually won a $10 Fair Price Voucher.

Some might say that it's boring, but I thought it was rather fun and I would do it again. Dragon came in 3rd, thank god that we aren't last.. 2nd runner up is better than 3rd runner up any day. Although we didn't get a hamper the group that came in 1st and 2nd shared theirs.

Food that was catered for us this event was the best I've had out of the other events. Not to mention our cooked prawns were so sweet and big!

There was another SSRC event today and we were playing Captain's Ball. First time playing it, seriously not good at playing. Keep missing the ball or my pass was like retarded.. 

But it was a good work out, just running here and there trying to get a goal. Had some support from the Dragon team, as they know i'm that bad at it. Trying to soak up all the rules - what to do and what not to all in that afternoon.

I'm not sure what the total score of Dragon is as I left for the showers already.. I guess i'll have to ask (:

Can't wait for the next SSRC event as we will be prawning, it will be my first time again!
