Watched this animation movie yesterday called Epic from Blue Sky Studios. Been wanting to see for a while and had to wait for it to come out last Thursday. It was almost a no go as baby's leg was acting up and he was in pain. But we managed to get to AMK Hub. Love you baby!
Synopsis:
A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world -- and ours.
Love love love their theme songs for part 1 & 2. At first I didn't like the theme song 'Brothers' from part 2 as it was not as catchy as 'Recruit's Anthem. Because I watched Ah Boys to Men Part 2 twice the 'Brothers' song kinda got stuck to me. If I could repeat the song all day.. I would (: LOL!
Recruit's Anthem (Acoustic Cover) - Part 1
♥ this part: S to the I-N G-A-P Singapore, uh-huh to the O-R-E Lion City no doubt where kings are born represent to the fullest This is where I'm from
About the movie: From the creators of Despicable Me and the imagination of Dr. Seuss comes the 3D-CG feature The Lorax, an adaptation of the classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure follows the journey of a 12-year-old as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.
Danny DeVito will lend his vocal talents to the iconic title character of the Lorax, while Ed Helms will voice the enigmatic Once-ler. Also bringing their talents to the film are global superstars Zac Efron as Ted, the idealistic youth who searches for the Lorax, and Taylor Swift as Audrey, the girl of Ted’s dreams. Rob Riggle will play financial king O’Hare, and beloved actress Betty White will portray Ted’s wise Grammy Norma.
My thoughts: If you're a big fan of animation, or loves to watch a movie with lots of laughs than this would be a great movie with a touching story line. It's for all ages - young & old. It made my boyfriend and I laugh throughout the movie. Out of the whole movie I liked Betty White as she portray Ted's Grammy Norma. A down to earth grammy with a bit of mischief who helps her grandson achieve something impossible to do in Thneedville.
We were told to bring moustaches to the event, so I printed 2 of it out and started making amendments to it. But we missed the photo session as we were running late from catching the bus from our workplace. In the end we just ended up taking a picture of ourselves in them, even though we looked silly.

Thank you!! OMY and UIP for giving me the chance to watch The Lorax (:
I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, Don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound
Don't you dare look out your window
Darling, everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone
Gone
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound
Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound...

The lead song from the movie The Hunger Games - Safe & Sound by Taylor Swift ft The Civil Wars
About the movie: Arthur Christmas reveals the incredible, never-before seen answer to every child's question: 'So how does Santa deliver all those presents in one night?' The answer: Santa's exhilarating, ultra-high-tech operation hidden beneath the North Pole. But at the center of the film is a story about a family in a state of comic dysfunction and an unlikely hero, Arthur, with an urgent mission that must be completed before Christmas morning dawns
My thoughts: Something to watch this Christmas, brings back some childhood Christmas memories. When my sister and I would wish for goldfishes and mysteriously they would appear next to us on Christmas morning. Makes you wonder how my Mum or maybe Santa (: crept into the room at night with our squeaky wooden floors to place beside the bed. I've always wondered but never could figure out.
There was one time when my sister and I tried to stay up pretty late in the dark trying to catch Santa in action. But sleep got the best of us and we didn't succeed. All in the love of Christmas (: Good show very heart warming, It's Santa and his sons with a high tech flying machine. Woo loads of action, but I would have preferred the good old sledge with reindeer which got blown up by missiles. Good ol' Evie.
Went to the preview screening of The Muppets with baby as I had won myself a pair of tickets from Nuffnang! I seriously need to check my mail more often as when I read the email from Nuffnang it was 4+pm and the email said to RSVP by noon. So I called the person up as she left her contact details to tell her that I was going.
This was movie weekend as the day before we went to see Breaking Dawn - Part 1. It is so worth it as baby needs to study for both his exams next week and next weekend he won't be in Singapore. He will be enjoying himself with his army friends in Genting.
Getting back to the preview screening, we collected the tickets and sat down for a bit. Told baby I want a photo yay! Another picture with baby.. wanna have heaps to fill up our memories (:
there were lots of people waiting to get into cinema hall 3 where they were going to screen the movie. But we got pretty good seats for a free seating movie..
I thought the movie was alright since I like musicals but wasn't sure if baby would like it as he does not. But I suppose he found it ok as he was laughing here and there in the movie. Got to see Kermit the frog but I don't remember how Kermit and Miss Piggy got married. But it was great to see something out from my childhood.
Ratings:
Thank you Nuffnang for giving us the opportunity to watch a sneak before the release (:
Was late for my nail appointment this morning, as I had woken up early to do some work. There are so many inconsiderate people on the weekends, blocking the way on the escalators and seriously if you want to talk please move a side and don't block the freaking pathway. This seriously made me miss my bus and again late to my appointment and to make matters worst!! It had to freaking rain~
I was half an hour late.. Never been so late to my appointments, she had only 1 and a half hours to do my nails. The way it turned out was quite good..
Told her my design, had 1 month to think about what I wanted and this is the result. Super chio right? Simple and nice that's what I always wanted. We finished at 1pm just in time for her other appointment.

I rushed back to Bradell to meet with baby, then had to rush down to The Grand Cathay @ The Cathay to catch our 2pm movie "Breaking Dawn - Part 1". Seriously they should have a shelter or an underground walkway to The Cathay from the MRT. Both baby and I got soaked from the sudden rain as we got out from Dhoby Ghaut MRT. Soaked, wet and cold we made our way up to collect the tickets, to the restroom and to get our combo by this time it was about 2.15pm. I was quite sore as I hate missing the front part of any movie as they show quite alot. But for some reason The Grand Cathay had so much ads that we made it just in time. Actually saw some ads before too and we were seated on the aisle so it wasn't that bad.
Movie was good, maybe its because I like twilight, but some may think it's not that great. Baby kept asking me stuff in the movie gah! don't ask me during the movie I might miss bits of it. Sorry baby but I have to say this I don't like people talking to me in the movies or asking me stuff! That's why I don't like watching any movies with my parents cause they constantly will ask me when they don't get it. I wanna watch part 2 of Breaking Dawn I hope that they will release it in the cinemas soon!
Tomorrow will be going to the gala premierer of The Muppets which I got from Nuffnang with baby. Excited finally going to one of this events with him as the last movie premierer I went to he couldn't make it as he had school so I took my colleague instead. (:
That would be Kermit the Frog, he's been my favourite since childhood. I use to own one as a little girl, but over the years, I would think my parents would have either thrown him out or gave him away to someone else.
Why I like Kermit the Frog?
I like him because he's always there for his friends. He can be serious sometimes but most of the time he's singing and laughing.

About the movie: On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.
Catch The Muppets in cinemas this 8 December 2011 and LIKE the
About the movie: Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king’s hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man’s
conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion…until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope. Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. Rallying a band of fellow outsiders—including visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff)—one hero will lead the uprising, or watch his homeland fall into ruin and his Gods vanish into legend.
My thoughts: I quite like the movie even thought it had so much blood in it, maybe cringe to some of the scenes. But if you like the movie 300, blood, sweat and an interesting storyline, you are bound to love this movie. There are some hot bods in the movie, so don't worry girls there are some nice eye candy for you out of all the fighting and blood (: I would recommend those who have not watch this movie to go see it!
Kept listening to "A Thousand Years" the whole day from morning, while working, after work and now at home. Makes me want to watch the upcoming Twilight movie - Breaking Dawn. But it will only be out on either on 18 or 24 November
Cannot wait, super excited!
Looking back 2 years ago, had Breaking Dawn in my hands, reading it every night just couldn't put the book down. I might pick it up again to refresh my memory before the movie premieres.
The colours on the poster looks so nice, makes you want to look at it more. I wonder how many parts will Breaking Dawn have and when will the next part be coming out. I hate cliff hangers, just makes you want to see the rest. I don't think I'll have the patience to wait.

Which team do you belong to?
Team Jacob or Edward. For me that would be TEAM JACOB.
Edward is too shiny and white for my liking. Haha!
Just came back from watching 白蛇传说之法海 also known The Sorcerer and the White Snake.
Synopsis
According to legend, there lived a horde of goblins and monsters in the depths of the primeval forest. Among these evil spirits were two snakes, one white and one green, loitering in the mountains, leading a carefree life.
One day, a young herbalist Xu Xian (Raymond Lam) came to the mountains and accidentally fell into a lake. White Snake (Eva Huang), in the incarnation of a beautiful lady, the form she acquired after a thousand years of practice and cultivation, came to his rescue. White Snake’s passion for this young man could not be contained, and with the help of Green Snake (Charlene Choi), she ventured into the human world and got married to Xu Xian.
Not long after their marriage, a strange disease started plaguing their town. As a physician, Xu Xian was very anxious. In order to help her husband, White Snake was willing to use up most of her supernatural power to concoct medicine for the disease, undermining her body and her vital energy.
Fa Hai (Jet Li), a sorcerer from Jinshan Temple, whose mission was to travel the world to subdue demons and slay monsters, arrived in time to save the town from the plague. But at the same time, from the medicine provided by Xu Xian, the sorcerer detected a touch of evil.
Then came Dragon Boat Festival when Chinese families drink wine to drive away evil spirits. In celebration, Xu Xian made White Snake drink some wine, and she immediately turned into a big white snake. Meanwhile Fa Hai came to the house in order to subdue White Snake. In confusion, Xu Xian used the sacred sword given to him by Fa Hai and wounded the large white python. White Snake escaped with serious injury.
Xu Xian was grief-stricken and tried to make remedy by risking his life to obtain a potent medicinal herb for his wife. Xu Xian got the herb but during the course was possessed by demons. In order to save him, Fa hai kept him in Jinshan Temple.
After taking the herbal dose, White Snake regained her strength and power and rushed to Jinshan Temple for her husband. She was overcome with rage after the failure to enter the Temple. In extreme frenzy, she summoned up a flood over the Temple causing a catastrophe.
I quite like the movie, it's romance but with a sad ending between a demon and a human. Sad to say I was tearing up in the cinema, I can be quite emotional sometimes. Haha, don't judge me!
Baby and I took our first steps into Nex just before to buy movie tickets for tonight. My first impression: Wow it's HUGE! Seriously for someone who has never been to Nex before can get lost. We nearly did, haha!
Going back there with baby later tonight with his family to watch the Jet Li movie and next week to shop. They have a lot of nice shops there to shop and really nice clothes. Shopping spree here I come!
Watched Contagion at 7.30pm at VivoCity after work with R & Baby. We didn't have time to eat anywhere else, so all 3 of us grabbed the Hot Dog Combo.
My rating for the movie would be ★★★ out of 5 ★s
Storyline
A thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak.
Planned one week in advance, book one day a head, all for watching SMURFS! Watched it with Haz @ Cineleisure! It's an enjoyable, hilarious movie and baby missed out on it because he didn't want to watch it.
Synopsis:
When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village,
they tumble from their magical world and into ours.
Yay! Got to watch it 10 days earlier.. Thanks to my colleague, Dolly who won the contest that was conducted by Starhub but she couldn't go. The movie premiere - 2AM Show in 3D. She wanted to give it to me as she knows I like them too. So she told me that she's asking Starhub whether if it's ok to pass them to me instead of her. And because of Dolly, i'm going to be watching the movie premiere with my friend, Michelle. Because baby doesn't want to watch it with me ):
So excited!
Movie: 2AM 3D Show
Venue: The Cathay
Time: 7.45pm
--------
Both of us were excited! Just came back from watching the concert, it's cool love their songs. But there was this part I wasn't sure if I was tired, I just dozed off then woke up like 1-2 minutes later. But overall I like it! Super thanks to Dolly for giving her tickets to my friend and I.
Had a night out with baby, we watched Conan at GV Plaza Singapura. Caught the 7pm show.. It's quite a nice movie as in the storyline, but to me it was super gross, blood splashing everywhere in the fighting scenes.
After we went to the basement to find food, which we did.. settle for Sakae Teppanyaki, had the Lobster special set (:
{ Table setting }
{ Salad.. which I did not eat.. my baby dragon ate it for me (: }
{ Fragrant Garlic Fried Rice.. Delicious!}
{ Did not eat this as well }
{ Egg tofu sprinkled with diced carrot, looks pretty but taste wise not so. }
{ tasted like black pepper chicken. }
{ our lobster }
{ last but not least, the miso soup.. drank a bit of baby's too!}
Caught the 11:25pm movie, Zookeeper @ AMK Hub with baby ♥ on Saturday!
