Retail therapy much!
Wednesday, November 30, 2011 / 12:42 AM Omg! Blog shopping is so not good for me, I looked at 2 of them just now and ordered! 3 items from Dressabelle and 1 item from Lilypirate. I really need to sell my clothes that are new and I cannot fit into them to get some money back. A woman's junk can be another ones treasure.. is that how the saying goes or did it come out weirdly. At least i'm not buying shoes online, that would be a bad thing. I have this urge to start my own blog shop, but a one man show will be a no no. Will most likely KO and die, too much work to be done. Maybe in future I may start one but I need to find a partner first! Labels: blogshop, retail therapy |
Happy Time!
Monday, November 28, 2011 / 1:58 AM Went to a wedding on Thursday, 24 November! My colleague's wedding, there was a massive jam on the ECP cause of 2 accidents that made baby late in picking me up from work. I thought we were gonna be late as the dinner was suppose to commence at 7.30pm but we didn't get to the hotel until 7.50pm - 8pm. What's worst is that the hotel had limited carpark space and we had to park next door at the Furniture Mall. The wedding dinner was held at Park Royal on the Beach. When we got there I was surprised as it was already so late that the dinner has not even started.. There were only two tables for SAFRA staff and the rest were all relatives and friends. Before the dinner started we were taking photos on my phone all 4 of us and I was taking my name placement card with baby.. plus I took what they were about to serve us for dinner! Left to right: CA, CC, CL, SC Love this photo of baby and I, it's currently my lock screen picture on my iPhone. . . The food that was served was not bad, it was a good night, a night to remember for the bride and groom and for us their guest. Got to see 4 ex colleagues that I haven't seen in a long time. . . I seriously cannot believe I was noting down love songs and songs that I shouldn't play at my wedding.. That is if I do get married~ Already have a few on my list and it's growing! |
Movie Review : The Muppets
/ 12:56 AM Went to the preview screening of The Muppets with baby as I had won myself a pair of tickets from Nuffnang! I seriously need to check my mail more often as when I read the email from Nuffnang it was 4+pm and the email said to RSVP by noon. So I called the person up as she left her contact details to tell her that I was going. This was movie weekend as the day before we went to see Breaking Dawn - Part 1. It is so worth it as baby needs to study for both his exams next week and next weekend he won't be in Singapore. He will be enjoying himself with his army friends in Genting. Getting back to the preview screening, we collected the tickets and sat down for a bit. Told baby I want a photo yay! Another picture with baby.. wanna have heaps to fill up our memories (: there were lots of people waiting to get into cinema hall 3 where they were going to screen the movie. But we got pretty good seats for a free seating movie.. I thought the movie was alright since I like musicals but wasn't sure if baby would like it as he does not. But I suppose he found it ok as he was laughing here and there in the movie. Got to see Kermit the frog but I don't remember how Kermit and Miss Piggy got married. But it was great to see something out from my childhood. Ratings: Thank you Nuffnang for giving us the opportunity to watch a sneak before the release (: Labels: movie, nuffnang, review |
Made it just in time..
Sunday, November 27, 2011 / 1:03 AM Was late for my nail appointment this morning, as I had woken up early to do some work. There are so many inconsiderate people on the weekends, blocking the way on the escalators and seriously if you want to talk please move a side and don't block the freaking pathway. This seriously made me miss my bus and again late to my appointment and to make matters worst!! It had to freaking rain~ I was half an hour late.. Never been so late to my appointments, she had only 1 and a half hours to do my nails. The way it turned out was quite good.. Told her my design, had 1 month to think about what I wanted and this is the result. Super chio right? Simple and nice that's what I always wanted. We finished at 1pm just in time for her other appointment. . . I rushed back to Bradell to meet with baby, then had to rush down to The Grand Cathay @ The Cathay to catch our 2pm movie "Breaking Dawn - Part 1". Seriously they should have a shelter or an underground walkway to The Cathay from the MRT. Both baby and I got soaked from the sudden rain as we got out from Dhoby Ghaut MRT. Soaked, wet and cold we made our way up to collect the tickets, to the restroom and to get our combo by this time it was about 2.15pm. I was quite sore as I hate missing the front part of any movie as they show quite alot. But for some reason The Grand Cathay had so much ads that we made it just in time. Actually saw some ads before too and we were seated on the aisle so it wasn't that bad. Movie was good, maybe its because I like twilight, but some may think it's not that great. Baby kept asking me stuff in the movie gah! don't ask me during the movie I might miss bits of it. Sorry baby but I have to say this I don't like people talking to me in the movies or asking me stuff! That's why I don't like watching any movies with my parents cause they constantly will ask me when they don't get it. I wanna watch part 2 of Breaking Dawn I hope that they will release it in the cinemas soon! Tomorrow will be going to the gala premierer of The Muppets which I got from Nuffnang with baby. Excited finally going to one of this events with him as the last movie premierer I went to he couldn't make it as he had school so I took my colleague instead. (: Labels: cynfulnails, movie, nails |
She's leaving on an aeroplane!
Thursday, November 24, 2011 / 1:44 AM Don't know when she'll be back again.. My sister left for Brisbane yesterday night 23.11.11, Wednesday. Quite sad to see her go was so use to her being in Singapore. She was here for quite some time, but she didn't like her job. Hmm one good thing about it, one less person using the internet at home, hence faster speed as we do not have fiber. Not like baby's house, super speedy internet. . . She messaged me one last time on her Singapore no. to tell me that she was about to board the plane. Aww ): Hope she will treasure that particular polaroid I had passed to her yesterday of us with corny words on them '♥ Sisters Forever'! |
The Muppets Movie
Sunday, November 20, 2011 / 5:01 PM Who is my favourite Muppet? That would be Kermit the Frog, he's been my favourite since childhood. I use to own one as a little girl, but over the years, I would think my parents would have either thrown him out or gave him away to someone else. Why I like Kermit the Frog? I like him because he's always there for his friends. He can be serious sometimes but most of the time he's singing and laughing. . . About the movie: On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. Catch The Muppets in cinemas this 8 December 2011 and LIKE the |
It's my BIRTHDAY!
Saturday, November 19, 2011 / 4:20 PM Finally it's here! Can't believe I had to wait 1 year for it.. and it's near to the end of the year. Having a BBQ tonight but the weather doesn't seem to be in my favour.. Dark clouds, please move out to sea or head up north, you're so not welcome in the east, I want to have a dry BBQ. Just hope it's just passing clouds and it doesn't hover over my area! As it is i'm not happy with some guest cancelling on me last minute. I feel like i'm going to be left with heaps of food, sigh don't tell me that you forgot you have something on today when you already RSVPed to my BBQ a month a go. Not a good day today sigh! . . I cleaned my room, magic cleaned and mop, tiring but worth it (: Doing some laundry too! Satisfied. . . Not HAPPY! IT'S RAINING!! . . After praying, my prayers were heard from above and the whole night not one single drop of rain! It turned out quite good with chief baby, thank you baby for cooking the food. But was quite disappointed with some last minute people who decided not to come. Labels: BBQ, birthday, mood, raining |
Movie Review : Immortals
Friday, November 18, 2011 / 12:08 AM About the movie: Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king’s hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man’s conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion…until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope. Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. Rallying a band of fellow outsiders—including visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff)—one hero will lead the uprising, or watch his homeland fall into ruin and his Gods vanish into legend. My thoughts: I quite like the movie even thought it had so much blood in it, maybe cringe to some of the scenes. But if you like the movie 300, blood, sweat and an interesting storyline, you are bound to love this movie. There are some hot bods in the movie, so don't worry girls there are some nice eye candy for you out of all the fighting and blood (: I would recommend those who have not watch this movie to go see it! Thank you omy.sg for the preview screening (: Immortals is now showing in cinemas Trailer Ratings: Labels: immortals, movie, omy, review |
Kiss Me Slowly
Monday, November 14, 2011 / 2:41 AM Stay with me, baby stay with me, Tonight don't leave me alone. Walk with me, come and walk with me, To the edge of all we've ever known. I can see you there with the city lights, Fourteenth floor, pale blue eyes. I can breathe you in. Two shadows standing by the bedroom door, No, I could not want you more than I did right then, As our heads leaned in. Well, I'm not sure what this is gonna be, But with my eyes closed all I see Is the skyline, through the window, The moon above you and the streets below. Hold my breath as you're moving in, Taste your lips and feel your skin. When the time comes, baby don't run, just kiss me slowly. Stay with me, baby stay with me, Tonight don't leave me alone. She shows me everything she used to know, Picture frames and country roads, When the days were long and the world was small. She stood by as it fell apart, Separate rooms and broken hearts, But I won't be the one to let you go. Oh, I'm not sure what this is gonna be, But with my eyes closed all I see Is the skyline, through the window, The moon above you and the streets below. Hold my breath as you're moving in, Taste your lips and feel your skin. When the time comes, baby don't run, just kiss me slowly. Don't run away... And it's hard to love again, When the only way it's been, When the only love you know, Just walked away... If it's something that you want, Darling you don't have to run, You don't have to go ... Just stay with me, baby stay with me, Well, I'm not sure what this is gonna be, But with my eyes closed all I see Is the skyline, through the window, The moon above you and the streets below. (Don't let go) Hold my breath as you're moving in, Taste your lips and feel your skin. When the time comes, baby don't run, just kiss me slowly. Oh, I'm not sure what this is gonna go, But in this moment all I know Is the skyline, through the window, The moon above you and the streets below. (Baby, don't let go) Hold my breath as you're moving in, Taste your lips and feel your skin. When the time comes, baby don't run, just kiss me slowly. Labels: lyrics, music, parachute |

Forever & Always
Sunday, November 13, 2011 / 3:45 PM [Verse 1:] She's sitting at the table, the hours get later He was supposed to be here She's sure he would have called She waits a little longer, there's no one in the driveway No one's said they've seen him Why, is something wrong? She looks back to the window Suddenly the phone rings A voice says something's happened That she should come right now Her mind goes to December She thinks of when he asked her He bent down on his knees first And he said [Chorus:] I want you forever, forever and always Through the good and the bad and the ugly We'll grow old together Forever and always [Verse 2:] She pulls up to the entrance She walks right to the front desk They lead her down a million halls, a maze that's never ending They talk about what happened but she can barely hear them She tries to keep a straight face as she walks into the room She sits by his bedside, holds his hand too tight They talk about the kids they're gonna have and the good life The house on the hillside, where they would stay [Chorus:] Stay there forever, forever and always Through the good and the bad and the ugly We'll grow old together, and always remember Whether rich or for poor or for better We'll still love each other, forever and always [Bridge:] Then she gets an idea and calls in the nurses Brings up the chaplain and he says a couple verses She borrows some rings from the couple next door Everybody's laughing as the tears fall on the floor She looks into his eyes, and she says [Chorus:] I want you forever, forever and always Through the good and the bad and the ugly We'll grow old together, and always remember Whether happy or sad or whatever We'll still love each other, forever and always Forever and always, forever and always She finishes the vows but the beeps are getting too slow His voice is almost too low As he says, I love you forever, forever and always Please just remember even if I'm not there I'll always love you, forever and always Labels: lyrics, meaningful, music, parachute |
Back from The Middle East
/ 2:46 AM Parents came back from The Middle East - Turkey today. They were suppose to land at 4.10pm but their flight had been delayed due to the rain. Eventually we got through to them, asking them when we're suppose to meet them for dinner. Had to carry some stuff for dad, 3 bags of it, and boy was it heavy. My bro couldn't help me as he needed to go to a wedding dinner. He just needed to go there for a bit and drop of the hong bao. He dropped me of at Pan Pacific and I had to walk from there up the escalator to Marina Square which was across the road, seriously it was such a maze to Marina Mandarin. But eventually reached the lobby where I met my sister and her bf, while waiting for Dad to come get us to go to his room. Wow, this weekend is filled with weddings, baby couldn't join us for dinner as he had to accompany his mum to one. I passed one at Pan Pacific and there was one at Marina Mandarin too. I think I read some where that on 11.11.11 there would be 500+ couples getting married and that there will be more on 20.11.11. I think next year around 12.12.12 and 20.12.12 will be looking at the same number of people getting married too. Bro and Sil joined us for dinner with parents, sister and bf, wish baby was there too. But he's coming for tomorrow's dinner with family we're going to Old Hong Kong Legend at Raffles City. I've only been there once for dinner. Lol Mum was asking me where I want to go for dinner, since it's my birthday dinner.. but since Dad has already decided then there's no point in asking me in the first place. Told Mum I actually want to eat crab, but then Sil said we'll have a separate dinner for that on Wednesday.. Woo I feel so loved, so many celebrations. Although I feel super old noooo I don't want to turn a big 25! Labels: life |
Wishlist
Thursday, November 10, 2011 / 1:42 AM To many people have been asking me what I would like for my birthday, this morning I would have told you I wouldn't know.. SURPRISE me! But then thinking about it with them asking me, it might be a good time to make a wishlist. Just in case someone else ask me the same thing and this time I would know what to reply them. • No. 9049 Dark Brown (2 sides) DSLR Bag. Click here to view picture and information. (So need a new one the current one that came with my camera, can't fit a lot of stuff inside.) • Still thinking of what I need and can be placed in my list if not look at it.. it's so bare! |
Monthsary
Wednesday, November 9, 2011 / 10:16 PM We were about to sleep this morning at 1am+ when baby said "Happy Monthsary!". I was surprised because I'm always the first to say I think lol~ I kinda forgot > < I know you're gonna read this I admit I forgot even though I said I didn't. Cause I felt bad ): Sorry! Sad we couldn't do something today, because you had school. But no worries just seeing you at work makes me happy! Baby posted this on my Facebook wall today.. so sweet of him (: Love him to bits.. Quotes
Tuesday, November 8, 2011 / 12:50 AM There was a period where baby would whatsapp me quote pictures, here are some of them. • If there is a word better than love, it would be you. • They say that love is forever, your forever is all that I need. • "Love is composed of two souls inhabiting one body" - Aristotle • This will be our year. • "LOVE two unique people who bring out the very best in each other and who know that even though they are wonderful as individuals, they are even better together" - Barbara Cage • Love builds bridges where there are none. • The biggest number in the world + 1 = my love for you • Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness. • Out of 6,823,000,000 people in the world, I choose you ♥ And will have many more to come (: Labels: quotes |
Songs of the Sea
Monday, November 7, 2011 / 1:50 AM Baby and I have not seen this particular show. Where is it at? Sentosa, Siloso Beach. What show is it? Songs of the Sea How much is it to watch? Standard - $10 Premium - $15 What are the timings like? 7.40pm, 8.40pm (Saturdays - Additional timing of 9.40pm) Is it worth it to pay $15 (premium) to go and watch the Song of the Sea? My opinion: A BIG FAT NO! Not worth it at all.. Last time in Sentosa there use to be a show that was similar to Songs of the Sea and it was so much better. I think they killed it as it was not by the beach before, but it was so much better even without fireworks. I kinda forgot what it's called but it had 'Musical' in it's title. The photos will be up here once I have uploaded them to my laptop (: |
Nice Food!
Friday, November 4, 2011 / 1:27 AM Baby and I was suppose to go to Cuppage to try out this Ramen place. But neither of us were hungry, so I suggested Bugis as we can walk around Bugis Street. Baby was reluctant at first but he gave in. Love him (: When we walked into Bugis Street, Baby mention that his friend's father had open a Zhi Cha stall here. After walking the 2 top floors we headed down to the place, best choice ever made. I had the Hor Fun with Beef, but had changed the Hor Fun to Bee Hoon. Baby had the Salted Egg Chicken with Rice, he thinks it's not salty enough. But I thought it was yums. The food there is good I will gladly go back there again! Baby did some catching up with his friend, while I slowly munching on my food (: After we walked around on the first floor. To think that it has 3 levels and the only thing that caught my eye was on the first floor, which cost me $12! Also visited Kandy Kane, Kaykay's shop, but didn't find anything I like there. Went home after.. can't wait for the weekend! Labels: food |
Just because..
Tuesday, November 1, 2011 / 7:35 PM Of my forgetfulness, which made me not call before I went up. My dogs fought and my bro was screaming at me. Saying why didn't you call, FUCK MAN! Do I need to call everytime I get home it's coming to a point where it's getting very annoying. Why do I have to and my sister don't, it's unfair! I feel dam sad now, bro says it's not fault but deep down I know. That's for having so many dogs at home, I'm in pain and I have to worry about my doggies then what about me. I might as well drop dead and die! Wouldn't that be better then they won't fight whenever I come back from work! |
